A 12-month commitment to the quality of our installation work.
What is covered?
Cotswold Timber Studio provides a 12-month workmanship guarantee from the completion date recorded at handover. It covers defects caused by our installation work on your studio. We will put covered faults right at no charge, including the labour and materials needed for the repair.
Your quotation or estimate will include these guarantee terms and identify the business providing your build. The agreed specification and completion date will be recorded in your project paperwork.
How to ask for help
Email cotswoldtimberstudio@gmail.com with your name, the studio address, a description of the problem and photographs if available. Please tell us promptly when you notice an issue during the guarantee period.
We will assess the issue, explain the next steps and arrange reasonable access for inspection and any covered repairs. Repairs will be carried out within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience.
Care, wear and damage
This additional guarantee does not cover fair wear and tear, or damage caused by misuse, accidental damage, alterations by others or failure to follow the care instructions supplied at handover. These exclusions apply only where that is the cause of the problem; they do not exclude defects caused by our workmanship.
Products & electrical work
Manufacturers’ warranties for products such as SIPs, roofing and glazing are separate and vary by supplier. We pass on available warranty information and relevant electrical certificates.
Work you commission directly from an independent contractor is covered by your agreement with them. We remain responsible for our contractual obligations where we supply products or subcontract work as part of your build.
Your legal rights
This voluntary guarantee is additional to your statutory rights. It does not limit your rights relating to faulty goods or services, and those rights do not automatically end after 12 months. This is a workmanship guarantee provided by the business, not an insurance-backed structural warranty.
